A Fonoaudiologia é a ciência que tem como objeto de estudo as funções biológicas e comportamentais envolvidas na comunicação humana. É responsável pela promoção da saúde, prevenção, avaliação e diagnóstico, orientação, terapia (habilitação e reabilitação) e aperfeiçoamento dos aspectos fonoaudiológicos da função auditiva periférica e central, da função vestibular, da linguagem oral e escrita, da voz, da fluência, da articulação da fala e dos sistemas miofuncional, orofacial, cervical e de deglutição.
A Neurologia é a especialidade médica que trata dos distúrbios estruturais do sistema nervoso. Especificamente, ela lida com o diagnóstico e tratamento de todas as categorias de doenças que envolvem os sistemas nervoso central, periférico e autônomo.
A neuropsicologia é uma especialidade da psicologia que associa o estudo detalhado do sistema nervoso à análise do comportamento humano e dos processos psicológicos. A neuropsicologia busca compreender como o cérebro influencia em nossas funções cognitivas como: Atenção; Memória; Raciocínio; Capacidade de julgamento; Comportamento e Emoções.

O papel do psicólogo é utilizar essa ciência para conduzir uma pessoa à autodescoberta, à compreensão sobre as suas dificuldades e a forma com que se relaciona com o seu “mundo interior” e exterior.
A psicologia infantil trabalha com a psicoterapia, em que o objetivo é ajudar a criança na expressão de suas emoções. O psicólogo infantil é capacitado para identificar e trabalhar os conflitos psíquicos das crianças através de atividades lúdicas, permitindo que elas ressignifiquem eventos traumatizantes e busquem por melhores alternativas para lidar com esses conflitos.

A Terapia Ocupacional é um campo de conhecimento e de intervenção em saúde, educação e na esfera social, reunindo tecnologias orientadas para a emancipação e autonomia das pessoas que, por razões ligadas a problemática físicas, sensoriais, mentais, psicológicos e/ou sociais, apresentam, temporariamente ou definitivamente, dificuldade na inserção e participação na vida social.
